To manage the crisis of Ukrainian refugees in Moldova, funds in the amount of 386.7 million lei were distributed through government emergency funds at the end of July 2022.

This was announced by the Ministry of Finance, noting that 41.9 million lei were distributed from the Reserve Fund, and 344.8 million lei from the Intervention Fund. In particular, 2 million lei were allocated to increase compensation for work performed in conditions of increased health risk to local public authorities of the II level for 775 persons involved (as of July 31, out of the total amount provided for these purposes, 1.7 million were allocated lei), 3.8 million lei - to replenish the state and mobilization reserves of the Material Reserve Agency, as a result of the distribution of food and goods for refugees (as of July 31, there were no expenses), 5.7 million lei for the transportation of refugees to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development (no expenses as of July 31), 12.2 million lei to cover the operating costs of temporary accommodation centers for refugees established by state institutions subordinate to the central authorities, state-owned enterprises, enterprises with state capital control, non-profit organizations, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population (11, 4 million lei) and the Ministry of Education and Science (0.8 million lei). As of July 31, out of the total amount allocated for these purposes, actually 10.3 million lei were provided. According to the provisions of the Commission for Emergency Situations, the total capacity of temporary accommodation centers is 6186 beds. In addition, 43.7 million lei were provided for humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. As at 31 July, no expenditures were made from the total allocated funds. 10 million lei were approved for allocation for the maintenance of temporary accommodation centers for refugees for the State Chancellery (5 million lei) and the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection (5 million lei). As of July 31, out of the total amount approved for these purposes, actually 2.4 million lei were allocated. In addition, 40.6 million lei were provided for the maintenance of temporary accommodation centers for refugees opened by local public authorities of I and II levels. According to the provisions of the Commission for Emergency Situations, the total capacity of such temporary accommodation centers is 11,089 beds. As of July 31, out of the total amount allocated for these purposes, actually were provided 23 million lei. Along with this, 268.7 million lei was approved for allocation to provide an increase in compensation for work performed in conditions of increased health risk, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (225.2 million lei), the Ministry of Defense (42.1 million lei) and the Ministry of Labor and social protection (1.4 million lei).
