
Natalia Gavrilita discussed with the management of Siemens Energy aspects of Moldova's energy security and diversification of energy sources.
In particular, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Prime Minister of Moldova met with President/CEO of Siemens Energy, Christian Bruch, and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the company, Joe Kaeser. The sides discussed the vulnerability of the energy market in the current geopolitical context and analyzed possibilities of diversifying energy supply sources. Natalia Gavrilita stressed the importance of strategic investments in the energy sector and the implementation of projects that will contribute to the development of the electricity market and increase the level of energy security in the country. During the discussions it was also noted that the war in Ukraine has highlighted the need to reduce energy dependence on one supplier and diversify energy sources. The German Siemens Group is one of the world's largest and best-known manufacturers of equipment for the electric power sector.
