This was stated by the Prime Minister of Moldova, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, where she spoke about the management of the refugee crisis in Moldova. According to the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers, in particular, today at the panel of the World Economic Forum on managing migration flows, the actions that need to be taken around the world to eliminate the humanitarian consequences of the war in Ukraine were discussed, and Natalia Gavrilita made a speech in which she spoke about the quick response of Moldovan authorities and decisions taken at the national level to manage the Ukrainian refugee crisis. The head of government noted that since the beginning of the military conflict, almost half a million Ukrainian refugees arrived in Moldova, and more than 90 thousand people remained in our country. State institutions responded exemplarily, taking the necessary decisions to facilitate the access of Ukrainians to the territory of Moldova. They were able to enter our country even with expired documents, received the support of volunteers, they were accommodated, provided with food and necessary products. Subsequently, we focused on measures of support and social integration of refugees, providing access to education and the labor market. All this time, we have observed effective coordination between national institutions, non-governmental organizations and citizens,” emphasized Natalia Gavrilita. At the same time, the Prime Minister highly appreciated the support received by Moldova from the international community, stressing that our country continues to rely on strategic investments that will help increase economic resilience.
