ANRE approved a 43.7% increase in the electricity tariff for domestic consumers of Premier Energy, to 2.17 lei per 1 kWh, excluding VAT.
Particularly, for Premier Energy consumers, whose electricity installations are connected to low-voltage (0.4 kV) distribution networks, the tariff for supplied electricity increased by 43.7% - from 151 to 217 bani per 1 kWh (excluding VAT). For Premier Energy consumers connected to medium voltage networks (6; 10 kV), the tariff was increased by 48.8% - from 125 to 186 bani per 1 kWh, and for those connected to high voltage networks (35; 110 kV), by almost 51.8% - from 114 to 173 bani per 1 kWh. ANRE's decision will come into force on April 1. Earlier Veaceslav Untila, director general of the National Energy Regulatory Agency noted that electricity tariffs in Moldova could be increased in two stages for final consumers. The next stage of increase of the electricity tariff is expected after April 1, when a new electricity supply contract will be signed, the new purchase price and the amount of negative deviations of electricity distribution companies will be known. It should be noted that the last adjustment of electricity tariffs for final consumers of Moldova was made in late January 2021.
