Moldova eased public health measures related to COVID-19 while extending the state of emergency in the field of health until April 15.
The National Public Health Emergency Commission has adjusted sanitary measures due to the decline in coronavirus cases. So, from March 16, the requirement to wear protective masks in public transport, in medical institutions, in pharmacies, in hotels and other collective accommodation facilities, in trade enterprises and shopping centers remains. At the same time, citizens are advised to continue to wear masks in closed public spaces and crowded places (cinemas, educational institutions, etc.), as well as to observe hand hygiene. If there is contact with those infected with the coronavirus, the obligation to comply with the self-isolation and quarantine regime remains. The Commission has abolished the previous requirements related to the presentation of a COVID-certificate at the entrance to catering establishments, festive events, gyms, and all cultural, sports, and festive events can take place without limiting the number of participants. At the same time, private and public enterprises must ensure compliance with sanitary measures (ventilation, disinfection of surfaces, etc.), install alcohol disinfectants in visible places, and carry out wet cleaning three times a day. They are also obliged to inform customers, buyers, employees about measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Similar requirements remain for individuals and legal entities carrying out the transportation of passengers. The new requirements come into effect on March 16; they will replace all the rules that were in effect since September 22 last year. // 15.03.2022 - InfoMarket.
