Since the beginning of the year, the Customs Service has provided more than 1.2 billion lei into the budget, which is 42.3% more than in the same period of 2021.
According to the press service of the department, from January 17 to 23, budget revenues amounted to 557 million lei. During this period, customs officers processed more than 11,350 declarations. Vehicles crossed the state border 50.5 thousand times, and the largest traffic occurred at customs posts in Leuseni and Sculeni (almost 12.1 thousand and, respectively, 7.8 thousand crossings). Last week, 179 violations of customs legislation were registered, for which fines totaling 310 thousand lei were charged.
