Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Regional Development of Moldova Andrei Spinu announced this, noting that this company was recognized as the winner of the relevant international tender, and the construction of the Vulcanesti-Chisinau power transmission line is an important project to ensure the energy security of our country. Further details on the project will be revealed at a press conference on Monday afternoon. Earlier, Andrei Spinu, noted that, in general, the project of asynchronous interconnection of the electric power systems of Moldova and Romania will be completed by 2024. In addition to the construction of the 400 kV Vulcanesti-Chisinau power transmission line, it provides for the construction of a back-to-back conversion station in Vulcanesti, modernization and expansion of stations in Chisinau and Vulcanesti. As InfoMarket agency reported earlier, the total cost of the project "Interconnection of electrical networks of Moldova and Romania, stage I" is 260.9 million euros. To finance the work, Moldova entered into loan agreements with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (80 million euros), the European Investment Bank (80 million euros); with the International Development Association of the World Bank Group (61 million euros); and a grant agreement with the EBRD (39.9 million euros).
