Such data are contained in the Government-approved Semi-Annual Report on the Execution of the National Public Budget and its Components for 2021, which was published in Monitorul Oficial on Friday. The document notes that, based on the economic results since the beginning of this year, in August the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure revised its macroeconomic indicators for the current year. Thus, the average annual inflation rate was increased from the initial 2.7% to 3.2%, and the inflation rate for the current year - from 4% to 6%. According to updated forecasts, in 2021, Moldovan exports will grow by 18.2% (instead of 12.6%) - to $ 2 billion 916 million, while imports to the country will increase by 29.1% (instead of 14.3%) - to $ 6 billion 992 million. The forecast for industrial production growth has changed upward - from 2.4% to 8% (65.8 billion lei), agricultural production - from 24% to 29% (39.2 billion lei), investments in long-term material assets - from 6.5% to 12.8% (up to 36.3 billion lei). The average salary in 2021 will be 8980 lei, or 12.7% more than last year (the budget documents include an indicator of 8716 lei per month). Accordingly, the wage fund by the end of the year will reach 66 billion lei instead of the previously planned 62.8 billion lei. At the end of 2021, the volume of Moldova's GDP will grow by 6% compared to last year and will amount to 231.9 billion lei (when developing the budget, the growth rate was set at 4.7%). According to the updated forecast, the average exchange rate of the Moldovan lei against the dollar in 2021 will be 17.83 lei per dollar (the previous figure was 18.19 lei), at the end of the year the exchange rate of lei will be 18.19 lei per one dollar (instead of 18.18).
