
The total amount of loans issued by banks of Moldova, as of the end of February 2021, amounted to 45 billion 687.8 million lei, having increased over a month by 529.2 million lei (+ 1.2%).
The National Bank of Moldova (NBM) informed that, at the same time, loans for trade (commercial loans) still prevail in the structure of the loan portfolio of Moldovan banks with a share of 22.9% of the total amount of loans. In particular, loans for trade as of the end of February 2021 amounted to 10 billion 483.9 million lei (+ 1.1% compared to the previous month). Loans issued for the purchase or construction of real estate as of the end of February 2021 totaled 8 billion 093.5 million lei (+ 2.1%), consumer loans - 7 billion 600.2 million lei (+ 1.5%), agricultural loans - 3 billion 895.9 million lei (+ 0.3%), loans for the food industry - 3 billion 344.8 million lei (-3%), industrial loans - 2 billion 538.8 million lei (+ 3.3%). Loans in the provision of services amounted to 1 billion 966.7 million lei + 0.3%), loans in the field of transport, telecommunications and network development - 1 billion 682.4 million lei (+ 1.4%), loans to the non-banking financial sector - 1 billion 149.2 million lei (+ 1.1%), loans to individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activity - 1 billion 001.3 million lei (+ 4.2%), energy loans - 912.9 million lei (-1.3%), loans in the field of construction - 697.7 million lei (+ 4.9%). // 13.04.2021 - InfoMarket
