Moldovan authorities extend the Interest Rate Subsidy Program until May 31.

The National Emergency Situations Commission extended the implementation period of the Interest Rate Subsidy Program for January-May 2021. According to the decision of the Commission adopted at its meeting on April 8, the beneficiaries of the Interest Rate Subsidy Program may be enterprises that received loans from May 1, 2020 to May 31, 2021 inclusive, and their income declared in tax reports, established in accordance with the data of the financial statements for the tax period of 2020, is lower than the income received and declared for the tax period of 2019. The payment of the subsidy will be made for the interest paid until May 31, 2021 inclusive. The decision of the Commission also states that during this period, the program will be implemented in accordance with the Regulation on subsidizing interest rates on bank and / or non-bank loans approved by the Ministry of Finance last year under agreements concluded between May 1 and December 31, 2020. Based on applications received from May 1 to December 31, 2020, the State Tax Service transferred over 31.8 million lei to 421 taxpayers in the form of subsidies at interest rates on loans. // 09.04.2021 - InfoMarket
