According to the National Bureau of Statistics, it increased by 9.7% compared to the previous month and by 13.4% compared to the same period in 2019. In real terms, taking into account the rise in inflation, the average salary increased by 6.2%, and compared to the IV quarter of 2020, the average salary in October-December 2020 increased by 12.3%. It should be noted that in the 4th quarter of 2020 the average salary in the public sector amounted to 7949.3 lei (+ 21.1% compared to the same period in 2019), and in the real sector of the economy - 9198.9 lei (+ 11%). The highest salaries in the IV quarter of 2020 were received by workers in the ICT sector - 20 310.8 lei (+ 15.5% compared to the same period in 2019), in the financial and insurance industry - 16 006 lei (+0.5 %), as well as at enterprises for the production and supply of electricity, gas, water, air conditioning - 14 385.6 lei (+ 6.4%). In these areas, salaries covered the average salary in the country at 229.2%, 180.7% and, accordingly, 162.4%. The lowest salaries remain in the field of tourist accommodation and catering - 5141.8 lei (-6.7%), in agriculture, forestry and fishing - 5553 lei (+ 5%), as well as in the field of recreation and entertainment - 6310 lei (+ 19.6%). In these areas, salaries were lower than the average by 48%, by 37.3% and, accordingly, by 28.8%. Average salary of employees in the sphere of administrative services and auxiliary activities - 6578.7 lei (+ 6.1%); in education - 7663.5 lei (+ 20.1%); in the field of real estate transactions - 6927.2 lei (+ 6.9%); in the field of transport and storage services - 6 982.4 lei (-4.2%); in the sphere of trade, repair of cars and motorcycles - 7873.5 lei (+ 8.8%); in the construction industry - 8270.8 lei (+ 6.7%); in the field of public administration and defense, compulsory social insurance - 10 656.3 lei (+ 19.8%); in the field of professional, scientific and technical activities - 11 201.7 lei (+ 9.4%). In the industrial sector, wages averaged 8183.5 lei (+ 5.9%), including in the extractive industry - 7647.2 lei (+ 13.4%), in the processing industry - 7422.7 lei ( + 4.4%), at water supply, sewerage, waste treatment and waste treatment and recovery enterprises - 8197.6 lei (+ 15%), at enterprises producing and supplying electricity, gas, water, air conditioning - 14 385.6 lei (+ 6.4%).
