The responsibility for informing the State Tax Service about the opening of accounts abroad by economic entities from Moldova is planned to be transferred to the National Bank

This is envisaged by the draft amendments to the Tax Code, which the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization submitted for public consultation. According to the current regulations, legal entities, individual entrepreneurs, peasant (farming) households, as well as individuals engaged in entrepreneurial activity or licensed or authorized professional activity regulated by industry legislation, in the event of opening an account abroad, are required to submit information about this to the State Tax Service within 15 days. The State Tax Service issues a document confirming the registration of this account within 3 days. Since the National Bank already receives this data/information when issuing a permit before an economic entity from Moldova opens an account abroad, it is proposed to transfer this responsibility from the economic entity to the National Bank. Another change in the regulatory framework provides for the abolition of the Report on the fee for the use of roads by vehicles registered in Moldova (Form TFD 19), as well as the cancellation of the obligation to calculate and report on the relevant fee for taxable entities, since this reporting is unfounded. At the same time, enterprises that carry out periodic technical inspection of motor vehicles will keep records of vehicles that have passed the periodic technical inspection and transfer to the Agency for Public Services the information necessary for filling in the State Register of Vehicles. The amendments are proposed to be put into effect on June 1. Consultations are held until May 26: https://goo.su/8BFli/ // 16.05.2025 — InfoMarket
