
The State Tax Service assessed additional taxes worth 120.6 million lei for payment after checking companies from the sectors with a high risk of non-compliance with tax legislation
The State Tax Service reported that in 2023-2024 it monitored the sectors with a high risk of non-compliance with tax norms: wholesale and retail trade, HoReCa sector, manufacturing industry, car maintenance and repair, driving schools, beauty and health care. A complex of measures was applied to some taxpayers: more than 1.9 thousand letters were sent; more than 1.6 thousand meetings and 3.1 thousand tax visits were held to explain the rules. As a result, the tax liabilities accrued to the state budget by the taxpayers monitored increased by 26% (+120.6 million lei) compared to the same period last year, while the amounts paid increased by 114.8 million lei (+23%). The share of taxes and fees calculated per 1 leu (MDL) of sales increased by 29% or by 0.0270 lei compared to the same period of the previous year, while the share of taxes and fees paid per 1 leu of sales increased by 27% or by 0.0261 lei compared to the same period of the previous year. // 25.07.2024 - InfoMarket.
