The head of government approved the Action Plan to reform the system of state control over entrepreneurial activity.

According to the order of Dorin Recean, which was published in Monitorul Oficial, the secretariat of the Economic Council is to establish thematic working groups within the Economic Council under the Prime Minister, focused on the areas of economic activity control, in which representatives of ministries, regulatory bodies and relevant administrative bodies will participate. The thematic working groups may include representatives of public institutions, the business community and, depending on the circumstances, civil society. The action plan includes nine tasks and goals to be implemented in the next two years. Thus, by the end of 2023, inconsistencies between sectoral laws and the law on state control over entrepreneurial activity will have to be eliminated, including the elimination of duplication of areas of control and unreasonable exceptions; review the entire range of restrictive measures applied by each regulatory authority, adjust the range of sanctions applied for violations in the field of state control, prepare a package of amendments to the regulatory framework; ensure effective planning of state control based on risk analysis; improve the mechanism for evaluating the activities of regulatory bodies. Until mid-2024, checklists will have to be revised, a system for monitoring and recording them should be developed; create a Center for Supervision of State Control, having previously studied best practices in this area. Until mid-2025, it is necessary to analyze the functionality of the State Register of Control, create its mobile version, which allows inspectors to use this information system remotely, etc. //26.07.2023 – InfoMarket
