The Draft Fiscal Policy for 2023 provides for a more significant increase in the excise rate on undenatured ethyl alcohol with an absolute alcohol concentration of 80% or more, as well as ethyl alcohol and other spirit tinctures, denatured, of any concentration. Thus, instead of the planned 120.77 lei per liter of absolute alcohol, the excise rate may increase to 138.99 lei. For comparison, in 2022, the excise tax on these products is 115.02 lei / liter of absolute alcohol, respectively, compared to the current year, the increase will be more than 20%.
