Residents of Chisinau will have to pay a local fee for sanitary cleaning by December 25.
The draft decision of the municipal council on the postponement until the end of July 2022 of the deadline for payment of the local sanitary cleaning fee during the meeting of the Chisinau municipal council on Tuesday did not receive the required number of councilors' votes. It was proposed to postpone this fee due to the fact that an adequate system for collecting this fee has not been created. Accordingly, residents of Chisinau will have to pay this fee by 25 December. As a reminder, the fee for sanitary cleaning was introduced for the first time in Chisinau in 2021; it will be calculated annually for each individual whose place of residence / stay is registered in Chisinau municipality. This fee will be deducted to the local budget of Chisinau, and in case of non-payment for each day of delay, defaulters will be charged a penalty. The amount of the fee in 2021 is 10 lei per month per subject. For some categories, benefits are provided: minors, pensioners, socially vulnerable categories of the population - persons with severe disabilities, children with disabilities, persons with moderate disabilities (participants in hostilities to protect the territorial integrity and independence of Moldova, military operations in Afghanistan, liquidation of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant).// 23.11.2021 — InfoMarket
