Moldova has been urged to switch to phased gas purchases, following the example of EU countries
In Moldova, there are calls to rethink the approach to gas procurement and switch to a phased schedule in order to reduce the risks of sharp price fluctuations and avoid repeating last year’s mistakes. The expert points out that such a mechanism is already in use in Europe, while in Moldova, in his opinion, there is still a lack of clear rules and oversight regarding procurement timelines.
