Moldova has significantly strengthened its position in the Serbian wine market, becoming one of the largest suppliers in terms of both volume and value of shipments in 2025. At the same time, the price structure of imports proved to be heterogeneous: the market featured both mass shipments at low prices and a premium segment with a significantly higher price per liter.
According to international statistics, by the end of 2025, Moldova had risen to first place in the world in terms of wine's share of national exports. Against this backdrop, the balance of power is shifting significantly within the industry among countries for which winemaking remains one of the key export sectors.
