According to the National Center for Sustainable Energy, residents of three apartment buildings located in Chișinău at the following addresses—11/11 Nicolae Milescu Spătarul Street, 11/10, and 11/4, will enjoy more comfortable living conditions and improved heating thanks to energy efficiency retrofitting work. The work will be carried out under the Moldova Residential Sector Energy Efficiency Fund (FEERM), which is managed by the National Center for Sustainable Energy. The retrofitting of these three buildings is funded by FEERM grants under an agreement between the National Center for Sustainable Energy and the condominium owners' association that manages these buildings. The total investment in these three buildings amounts to approximately 3.1 million lei, of which 2.3 million lei is grant funding provided through FEERM. For each of the three buildings, design and cost estimate documentation will be prepared, and a technical assessment will be conducted—a mandatory step before beginning energy retrofit work. The following energy efficiency measures are planned for the future: roof insulation; measures to protect and ensure the durability of the completed energy efficiency work. Implementing these measures will reduce energy losses and improve thermal comfort for residents. FEERM provides homeowners' associations in condominiums with access to financing for the energy retrofit of residential buildings. Funding covers up to 70% of the project cost, with the beneficiary contributing 30%. Additional support mechanisms are available for energy-vulnerable households, allowing them to reduce the size of their personal contribution. Thanks to these investments, apartment buildings are being modernized and energy consumption is decreasing, which has a positive impact on both residents' comfort and household expenses. // 17.09.2026 — InfoMarket
