Olga Golban, Director of the State Tax Service, announced this during the panel discussion "The Future of Tax Administration in a Digital Europe" as part of the TAXCON'26 international conference. Currently, the agency provides 19 services, 17 of which have already been digitized, while the digitization of the remaining two is in its final stages. According to the head of the State Tax Service, the implementation of electronic solutions should reduce the time and resources required for taxpayers to interact with the agency, increase the efficiency of internal processes, and allow staff to be reassigned to tasks requiring professional experience and expertise. One of the main priorities will be the interconnection of information systems and the development of data exchange, including in the context of Moldova's integration into the EU. The State Tax Service is exploring solutions for more timely submission of transaction information and financial data, including the use of application programming interfaces (APIs). Moldova has been using the e-Factura system for over 13 years, and the tax service is analyzing opportunities for further developing this infrastructure, taking business needs into account. Special attention is being paid to international information exchange: a system for exchanging financial account data was developed, implemented, and certified at the international level in 2024. Olga Golban noted that access to information is necessary not only for tax authorities but also to ensure fair competition, prevent tax fraud, and foster a more transparent business environment. // 24.09.2026 — InfoMarket.
