The event will take place at the Stăuceni City Hall with the participation of Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugeniu Osmochescu, and Stăuceni Mayor Alexandru Vornicu. The Master Plan for the Development of Moldova HiTech Park is a strategic reference document for the development of this high-tech park in Moldova; it is the primary document defining the vision, functional structure, building density, infrastructure, phases, and development rules for the entire project. Its completion marks an important milestone, the result of an extensive process of planning, consultation, and institutional coordination, and serves as the foundation for the development of a zoning plan. The concept, developed by the Romanian architectural firm UNITH2B Architects in collaboration with the park's team and institutional partners, envisions the creation of a green, compact, and innovative district with at least 40% green spaces and areas designated for IT, medical/healthcare technologies, and government technologies—including a future data center—as well as controlled densification of development, which will enable more efficient use of land resources and expand the project's investment potential. The meeting will be held behind closed doors and will bring together members of the government, the board, and shareholders of Moldova HiTech Park, as well as representatives of relevant government agencies, strategic partners, and potential park residents. Previously, the EBRD and Moldova signed a memorandum of understanding to support the development of Moldova HiTech Park. The EBRD's support is aimed at developing Moldova HiTech Park—a promising science and technology park designed to foster digital innovation, applied science, and the sustainable growth of the high-tech sector. The project, implemented as part of the European Union's Growth Plan for Moldova, aims to create a new innovation ecosystem that will have a catalytic effect on various sectors of the economy by bringing together research, education, technology, and private enterprise. The EBRD is already providing technical assistance in developing the project's innovation concept and development model, drawing on its experience in supporting similar science and technology parks in other countries. The EBRD is also considering the possibility of sovereign financing to support core facilities and key infrastructure during the first phase of implementation. It was previously reported that construction of Moldova's first high-tech park, HiTech Park, is scheduled to begin in 2026.
