At the opening of Moldova Business Week, Moldova's prime minister called on business leaders to invest in our country and to view it not only in terms of the size of its domestic market, but also as a platform for accessing the European Union market and regional economic opportunities. He emphasized that political stability and Moldova's European course provide the country with an important window of opportunity to accelerate economic reforms. The government's priorities include reducing bureaucracy, streamlining procedures, ensuring a predictable tax system, improving infrastructure, and creating an administration that supports business development and job creation. Among the sectors with growth potential, the prime minister highlighted IT, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, logistics, healthcare services, the pharmaceutical industry, and tourism. According to him, there is also significant potential in companies' participation in Ukraine's reconstruction, including through the development of logistics infrastructure in our country. He stated that the government intends to support the expansion of these sectors by removing administrative barriers and attracting capital and technology. "I invite you to seriously consider Moldova. Bring capital, bring technology, build factories and infrastructure, develop services, and use Moldova as a base in the region—and the government will be your advocate in this process... If you play by the rules, pay taxes, and invest seriously in Moldova, the government is ready to act as your advocate and provide support. "We cannot guarantee that every investment will be successful, but we can guarantee that good companies will not go bankrupt due to bureaucracy, unclear rules, or specific decisions," assured Vasile Tofan. Moldova Business Week 2026 is taking place from September 28 to October 2, bringing together about 650 participants from approximately 50 countries and promoting Moldova as a destination for investment, business development, and expansion into regional and European markets. The program for this year's BMW, which includes more than 30 individual events, is structured around three themes: European economic integration, investment in sectors with growth potential, and the export of services.
