Moldova Will Test Digital Voter Identification in Local Elections and in Gagauzia

In Moldova, a new method of voter identification using digital documents will be tested during the upcoming local elections and in Gagauzia. The trial will apply only to the identity verification process at polling stations and may serve as the basis for wider implementation of the technology in future national elections.
