The Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization made this statement during a meeting with Adrienn Kiraly, Director of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighborhood Policy (Adrienn Kiraly), held as part of an assessment of the implementation of reforms and investments under Moldova's Economic Growth Plan. The main discussions focused on progress in implementing reforms and investments, as well as priorities for the near future in the context of economic convergence with the EU. Claudiu Năsui stated that Moldova will continue, through 2027, the reform of state-owned enterprises, which involves transforming them into joint-stock companies, creating a holding-type structure for companies managed by the Public Property Agency, appointing independent members to boards of directors, and professionalizing management. Measures are also being prepared to reduce bureaucracy for microenterprises in their early stages of operation, simplify administrative procedures and access to services, and further digitize interactions between the government and the business sector. The Enterprise Development Agency will be transformed into a financial development institution. Special attention was given to creating clear and predictable rules for investors, expanding the list of prepared investment projects—including the Moldova High Tech Park—and developing the capital market while ensuring access to European markets. The parties also analyzed public procurement regulations, on which the timelines for implementing investment projects depend. Claudiu Năsui also noted that state aid schemes need to be evaluated and reoriented toward sectors with high potential, including information technology, emerging industries, as well as cultural, wine, and medical tourism. He emphasized that the implementation of the Growth Plan should lead to reduced bureaucracy, increased investment, and expanded opportunities for Moldovan companies, while simultaneously preparing the economy for integration into the EU single market.
