System operators will be able to issue connection permits on flexible terms for storage systems with a capacity of at least 1 MW and a storage capacity exceeding 2 MWh, within a total capacity limit of 200 MW, provided the grid can accommodate them. In the event of grid overloads, it is permitted to temporarily limit the feed-in of electricity to the grid and to set specific time slots for charging energy storage systems. Applications must be submitted by September 15, and permits will be issued on a first-come, first-served basis until the total capacity of 200 MW is reached, for a maximum term of 6 months and without the possibility of extension. Urban planning and construction documents for such projects will be reviewed on a priority basis, The Civil Aviation Authority will expedite the approval of wind turbines in aviation-restricted zones, and the Customs Service will establish a priority channel for clearing generators, transformers, inverters, storage systems, connection boxes, and cables.
