According to the Ministry of Energy, the parties discussed gas reserves, trends in the energy market, and measures needed to maintain affordable energy prices for consumers. They also addressed issues related to Moldova's integration into the European energy market and progress toward achieving the goals set forth in the National Comprehensive Energy and Climate Plan. Dorin Junghietu presented the results of developments in renewable energy sources and energy storage capacity, as well as measures to stimulate investment, including the elimination of customs duties on imports of wind turbines and rechargeable batteries. The discussion also covered energy efficiency programs for households, implemented through the National Center for Sustainable Energy, and mechanisms to facilitate access to financing and loan guarantees. The Minister of Energy thanked the German partners for their support of Moldova and for their expert assistance in the process of transforming the energy sector. "We have much to learn from Germany, but the exchange of experience is a two-way process. The fact that our German partners also find areas where they can learn from our experience demonstrates that our cooperation is based on concrete results and genuine dialogue," noted Dorin Junghietu. The parties also discussed issues related to legislative reforms. Parliament passed, on first reading, bills concerning energy communities, the development of renewable energy generation, and the modernization of district heating systems in Chișinău and Bălți. In addition, they discussed the "Sandbox" mechanism, which allows for the testing of innovative solutions in the energy sector within the established legal framework.
