IDIS Viitorul proposes replacing the districts with three administrative regions

IDIS Viitorul has proposed to the authorities an alternative model for administrative-territorial reform, which calls for abandoning the expanded district system in favor of three large regions. The institute believes that such an approach could shift the balance of local governance and affect regions' access to European funding; however, the proposals still contain issues that require separate resolution.
