In accordance with a decision by the National Energy Regulatory Agency, heat tariffs for Termoelectrica customers rose from 2,020 to 3,277 lei per Gcal (+62.2%), and for CET-Nord customers—from 2,201 to 3,374 lei per Gcal (+53.3%). In addition, NARE raised the regulated prices for electricity produced by these companies: Termoelectrica's rate doubled—from 2.31 to 4.62 lei per kWh—and CET-Nord's rate increased 1.8-fold—from 2.77 to 5.07 lei per kWh. Until now, the tariffs approved by NARE in mid-February 2026 had been in effect. As previously reported by InfoMarket, in February, the heat tariff for Termoelectrica customers was reduced by 490 lei per Gcal, while CET-Nord's tariff increased by 75 lei per Gcal.
