According to the Ministry of Energy and Termoelectrica, these investments are part of the "Sustainable Transition through Energy Efficiency in Moldova" project (STEEM) and involve the design and installation of approximately 240 additional individual heating units, in addition to the approximately 200 individual heating units that are already being installed. In preparation for the implementation of these investments, from July 28 to 31, the UCIPE Energy Project Implementation Unit, in partnership with Termoelectrica, held information and consultation sessions with representatives of beneficiary institutions. During the meetings, the objectives of the investment, the design and implementation phases, as well as the technical and organizational aspects necessary for the smooth execution of the work were presented. At the same time, representatives of the beneficiary institutions had the opportunity to ask questions and clarify aspects related to the project's implementation. Iurie Razlovan, CEO of Termoelectrica, noted that the expansion of the district heating infrastructure is part of the process of modernizing the centralized heating system in Chisinau. The implementation of district heating will contribute to: reducing energy consumption and costs; improving the quality of district heating services; increasing the energy efficiency of buildings; and ensuring more flexible and efficient operation of the district heating system. // 03.08.2026 — InfoMarket.
