Moldova will accelerate reforms, strengthen institutional capacity, enhance economic resilience, and prepare its economy for deeper integration into the European Union’s single market
Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization Eugen Osmochescu stated this while speaking at the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) ministerial meeting held in Brussels. There, he presented Moldova’s outlook regarding CEFTA priorities—focused on accelerated economic integration and gradual inclusion in the EU single market. In this regard, he emphasized the importance of focusing efforts on regulatory convergence, digitalization, trade confidence-building measures, the reduction of non-tariff barriers, and closer institutional cooperation. “Through our joint, coordinated efforts, we can accelerate reforms, strengthen institutional capacity, enhance economic resilience, and prepare our economies for deeper participation in the EU single market,” Eugen Osmocescu noted in his remarks. During his visit to Brussels, the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization discussed recent economic developments, with a particular focus on the implementation of the Growth Plan, in bilateral meetings with several representatives of the European Commission. // 29.05.2026 — InfoMarket
