Prime Minister made this statement during meetings in Brussels with a number of European commissioners responsible for key areas. According to the government press service, the parties discussed progress in the European integration process, strengthening support for reforms, economic development, and energy security. Dorin Recean stated that Moldova is in the process of accession and that the authorities are working to become a member of the EU as soon as possible. “To achieve success, we need continuity in cooperation programs with the European Union, as well as unity and participation of all—state institutions, local administrations, the business community, and every citizen,” Prime Minister said. He held bilateral talks with European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, European Commissioner for Budget, Anti-Fraud and Public Administration Piotr Serafin, European Commissioner for Economy and Productivity Valdis Dombrovskis, European Commissioner for Startups, Research, and Innovation Ekaterina Zaharieva, European Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Christophe Hansen, and Executive Vice-President of the European Commission responsible for Clean, Just and Competitive Transition, Teresa Ribera. Dorin Recean also stressed the need to support innovation, expand opportunities for start-ups, and strengthen the IT sector, which is becoming an increasingly important driver of the national economy. European officials sent a strong message of support for Moldova's European path and highly appreciated the government's determination to pursue reforms, strengthen democratic institutions, and move closer to European standards and values. In this context, the need to align European financial instruments and future technical assistance with the pace of reforms implemented by the Moldovan government was emphasized. // 04.06.2025 — InfoMarket
