
UNDP will assist the Moldovan Ministry of Finance in developing an efficient budgetary framework
This was announced by the permanent representative of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in Moldova, Daniela Gasparikova, at a meeting with Finance Minister Victoria Belous. According to the Finance Ministry, the discussions were focused on the intensification of cooperation between the two institutions and on the UNDP's support for the development of capacities and systems of efficient management of public finances. An important point of the dialog was the harmonization of fiscal policy with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with the support of UNDP. Also it was discussed the work on rationalization of expenditures in the health sector, which is supported by UNDP, started in May 2022 and should be completed by the end of this year. Victoria Belous thanked UNDP for the assistance provided in the management of public finances and emphasized the importance of continuing this cooperation to achieve common goals.
