This was stated during meetings that the State Secretaries of the Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization of Moldova, Veronica Arpintin and Viorel Garaz, held in Bucharest with representatives of several Romanian ministries and agencies. In particular, at the Romanian Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization, they met with Eduard Mititelu, State Secretary of the above-mentioned Ministry. During the discussion, they touched upon topics related to cybersecurity and the development of strategies to protect Romania's and Moldova's digital infrastructure, as well as strategies for the digitalization of society and economy, including plans to expand the digital infrastructure. Eduard Mititelu said that Romania will continue supporting Moldova in the EU accession process, including by promoting digital skills and facilitating the transition to new technologies, as well as the efficiency of the existing research and innovation programs. Another meeting took place at the Romanian Competition Council, where the Moldovan guests talked to Romanian State Secretary Daniel Picu. The discussions focused on effective cooperation between the Competition Council and the business environment, including the promotion of a culture of compliance with antitrust rules, as well as strategies to improve price monitoring and market transparency, preventing anticompetitive practices related to prices. At the Romanian Ministry for Development, Public Works and Administration, the Moldovan State Secretaries met with State Secretary Alexandru Stoica, with whom they discussed mainly the technical and financial assistance provided by Romania to Moldova, as well as the importance of administrative capacity, respectively, the use of twinning instruments, participation in transnational cooperation projects, to develop the capacity to manage and implement financing programs and projects, as well as the role of central and local authorities in order to ensure the conditions for regional development. In this context, Alexandru Stoica confirmed the willingness of the Ministry for Development, Public Works and Administration of Romania to provide expertise and share best practices in areas aimed at developing local communities and improving the quality of public services.
