The National Bureau of Statistics published the average consumer prices of socially important goods in January 2022 and their comparison with prices in the previous month. The NBS plans to present these statistical data on the 15th of every month. According to the NBS, in January, compared to December, the prices for bread included in the list of socially important goods increased by an average of 14-15 bani (+2.2%). The price of cottage cheese with a fat content of 5% increased by 46 bani - from 65.51 to 65.97 lei per kg (an increase of 0.7%), sour cream with a fat content of up to 10% increased by 31 bani - from 37.27 to 37.58 lei (+ 0.8%). Prices for butter made from cow's milk with a fat content of 72.5% increased: a kilogram of loose butter increased by 2.63 lei - 141.45 lei (+1.9%), the price of packaged butter increased by 0.7 lei - up to 163.11 lei (+0.5%). Prices for sunflower oil also increased: a liter of refined in bulk - from 34.64 to 34.79 lei (+15 bani or 0.4%), unrefined in bulk - from 31.83 to 32.31 lei (+48 bani or 1.5%), and a liter of refined in a bottle - from 40.97 to 41.19 lei (+22 bani or 0.5%).
