
Moldova plans to receive grants to the budget in 2022 in the amount of 1 billion 317.9 million lei, which is 6.6% (92.5 million) less than the revised figure for 2021.
This is stated in the materials of the Ministry of Finance to the draft Law on the State Budget for 2022, which was approved by the government. As noted, in general, it is planned to receive grants for budget support in the amount of 440 million lei (equivalent to 20 million euros), which represents the first tranche of the new agreement on macro-financial assistance. In addition, it is planned to receive grants for financing projects from external sources in the amount of 877.9 million lei (equivalent to $ 46.8 million). At the same time, grants for budget support will make up 33.4% of the total projected volume of external grants, and grants for the implementation of projects financed from external sources - 66.6% of the total planned volume of grants. The share of grants in the total amount of state budget revenues will be 2.7%, and in relation to GDP - 0.5%.
