
The net profit of Moldovan banks in January-July 2022 amounted to 1 billion 946.04 million lei, an increase of 770.8 million lei (+65.6%) compared to the same period in 2021.
According to the National Bank of Moldova, profit for 7 months of this year received all 11 banks. At the same time, about 1 billion 601.1 million lei (82.3% of the total net profit) fell on the share of 4 banks: maib, Moldindconbank, Victoriabank and OTP Bank. Another 7 banks earned approximately 344.94 million lei of net profit. Herewith, for 10 banks that received profit in January-July 2022, it increased compared to the same period in 2021, and for 1 bank, profit decreased. As follows from the data provided by the National Bank of Moldova, in particular, for 7 months of 2022, the largest net profit was received by: maib - 602.25 million lei (in January-July 2021 - 353.42 million lei), Moldindconbank - 542.35 million lei (323.24 million), Victoriabank - 326, 37 million lei (153.03 million) and OTP Bank - 130.16 million lei (178.5 million).
