
The net profit of Moldovan banks in January-February 2022 amounted to 496.2 million lei, up 236.7 million (1.9 times) compared to the same period in 2021.
According to the data of the National Bank of Moldova, all 11 banks made a profit over two months of this year. At the same time, about 4 banks - maib, Moldindconbank, Victoriabank and OTP Bank - got 414 million lei (83.4% of net income). About 82.2 million lei of net income were earned by the remaining 7 banks. At the same time, 10 of 11 banks, which recorded a profit in January-February 2022, showed an increase compared with the same period in 2021. 1 bank recorded a profit against losses in the same period last year. According to the data, provided by the National Bank, in January-February 2022, the largest net profit was received by: maib - 132.57 million lei (in January-February 2021 - 82.82 million lei), Moldindconbank - 120.02 million lei (78.05 million), Victoriabank - 97.36 million lei (23.48 million) and OTP Bank - 64.04 million lei (54.45 million).
