Trade between Moldova and India increased by 6.87% in 2025 compared to 2024, reaching $80.5 million, while seventy-five companies with Indian capital are registered in Moldova

This was discussed during the Moldovan-Indian Business Forum held in Chisinau on Monday, where prospects for expanding the two countries' economic partnership and attracting new investment were discussed. The event was attended by Moldovan and Indian Presidents Maia Sandu and Droupadi Murmu, Acting Prime Minister Eugen Osmochescu, and other government and business representatives from Moldova and India. The business forum served as a platform for dialogue on strengthening trade and investment relations between the two countries. It was noted that Moldova is strengthening its position as an attractive investment destination through economic modernization, digitalization of public services, development of industrial infrastructure, and deepening economic integration with the European Union. In this context, cooperation with India represents an important opportunity to expand trade ties, attract investment, and explore new areas of mutual interest. The forum's agenda included presentations of business and investment opportunities in sectors such as infrastructure and construction, manufacturing, information technology, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, and agri-food processing. The forum reaffirmed Moldova and India's interest in deepening economic relations and developing joint projects that will facilitate increased investment, expand exports, and strengthen bilateral cooperation. // 20.07.2026 — InfoMarket
