This was announced by representatives of the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture (AIPA) during an ongoing information campaign on funding opportunities for farmers under the Strategic Agricultural Policy Program for 2026–2030. The campaign is being conducted under the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry and is intended for agricultural producers, industry associations, service providers, and representatives of local authorities throughout the country. The campaign will run until July 24 and aims to inform farmers about available financing opportunities. AIPA representatives are informing farmers in various regions about the terms and conditions for accessing funding under the Strategic Agricultural Policies Program for 2026–2030. As noted, the types of interventions under this Program cover three areas with 29 support measures totaling 18.9 billion lei for 2026–2030. Direct payments (8 measures) envisage 2.7 billion lei intended to support producers of milk, meat, vegetables, potatoes, forage crops, legumes, sugar beets, and seeds by increasing their incomes. Sector-specific interventions (5 measures) envisage 2.5 billion lei to support sectors with high added value and export potential: viticulture, winemaking, and wine tourism; beekeeping; fruit and vegetable producer organizations; and quality improvement programs. For rural development (16 measures), 13.7 billion lei are envisaged to support the modernization and development of agricultural enterprises, investments—including in irrigation—support for the production of value-added products, support for young farmers and start-up farms, risk management, climate change measures, the LEADER and AKIS programs. The 2026 budget allocates 28.84 million lei to improve plant and animal health and welfare, 100 million lei for the LEADER program, and 500 million lei to support young farmers, startups, and small-scale farmers. // 13.07.2026 – InfoMarket.
