Moldovan companies and organizations can compete for a $1 million prize for the best project in energy, energy efficiency, green technologies, or climate resilience
The Ministry of Energy announced this, noting that companies, non-profit organizations, small and medium-sized enterprises, and educational institutions from Moldova developing or having project ideas in renewable energy, energy efficiency, green technologies, or climate resilience are eligible to apply for the Zayed Sustainability Prize, one of the most prestigious international awards dedicated to sustainable development and innovation. The 2027 program is officially open, and the application deadline is June. The total competition fund is $7.2 million, and winners in each of the main categories, including the Energy category, will receive $1 million to develop and scale up their solutions. Finalists will receive $100,000 in funding. The Energy category welcomes projects that promote clean energy infrastructure development, energy efficiency, digitalization of the energy sector, access to reliable energy, and the advancement of clean technologies. The international competition is organized in honor of the first President of the UAE, Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
