This was stated during a meeting held in Chisinau between the Governor of the National Bank of Moldova (NBM), Anca Dragu, and the Director General of the European Commission's Directorate General for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations (DG NEAR), Gert Jan Koopman. According to the NBM, the central subject of discussion at the meeting was the 1.8 billion euros Economic Growth Plan, announced on October 10 by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. It was noted that this financial assistance package will lead to an increase in the living standards of the Moldovan citizens following investments and reforms under the Economic Growth Plan. The Governor of the National Bank emphasized that the NBM actively contributes through components related to education and financial accessibility, as well as the expansion of the capital market and the related infrastructure. “The European Union has been and remains a reliable partner and this partnership is becoming more and more solid as we move forward on our European path,” the NBM Governor stated. // 11.10.2024 - InfoMarket.
