The 15.5% increase in average salary registered in Moldova is another sign of economic recovery and an impetus for the economic growth - Dumitru Alaiba
Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization expressed this opinion while commenting on the data of the National Bureau of Statistics, according to which in Q2 2024, the average monthly salary amounted to 14069.2 lei, up by 15.5%, compared to the same period last year. “This is good for the economy. Higher wages mean a better standard of living for every family. When people have more money at their disposal, they invest it: they buy products and services, renovate their homes, buy goods, save money. This increase in consumption stimulates production, creates new jobs and ultimately contributes to the development of the entire economy,” Dumitru Alaiba wrote on his social network page. He also emphasized that a strong domestic market, fueled by consumption growth, represents a great opportunity for companies and investors. “All of this is interconnected, and we are working in parallel on many segments: offering access to financing on preferential terms, promoting ambitious reforms, reducing bureaucracy, digitizing the economy. All together we are helping to create a sustainable and competitive economy that can bring long-term benefits to all citizens,” said the Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization. // 04.09.2024 – InfoMarket
