Annual inflation (over the last 12 months) continues to decrease in Moldova, and in May it reached 3.28% against 3.51% a month earlier.
The National Bureau of Statistics reported this, noting that in May last year annual inflation in Moldova reached 16.26%. At the same time, in May 2024, as compared to May last year, the average consumer prices for food products increased by 4.2%, for non-food products - increased by 6.84%, and for services rendered to the population - decreased by 3.84%. It should be noted that the annual inflation rate in Moldova has been constantly decreasing since November 2022, and in January 2024 it increased again, amounting to 4.55% against 4.2% in December 2023.
