MFAEI presented for public discussions the National Action Plan on EU accession, which aims to prepare Moldova for EU accession by 2030.
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration (MFAEI) Nicu Popescu said that this document represents an important stage of our country's European path, replacing all previous steps and clearly reflecting our national goal: to prepare Moldova for EU accession by 2030. "This is a decisive step towards strengthening our ties with the European family and it will be the basis of our accession process, through which we adapt and integrate European legislation into our national legislation. We are currently in the process of assessing the compliance of the national legislation with the European legislation and transferring the necessary documents to the institutions responsible for their implementation. This plan will be substantially finalized after the evaluation process carried out together with the European Commission," Nicu Popescu wrote on his social network page. He called on all stakeholders to participate in the public consultations and share their opinions and proposals. "Joining the European Union is the main goal for our country and citizens' participation is crucial for building a more prosperous future within the European community," the MFAEI head stressed. // 29.09.2023 - InfoMarket
