ANRE has adopted some transitional norms for Vestmoldtransgaz in order to ensure the continuity of operation of Moldova's gas transportation system.
According to the energy regulator's statement, in particular, the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) adopted a resolution on ensuring the continuity of the operation of the Moldovan gas transportation system. In the context of the preliminary appointment of Vestmoldtransgaz as the operator of the Moldovan gas transportation system (GTS), ANRE established some measures that will avoid ambiguities on the part of the GTS, as well as on the part of the system users regarding the application of tariffs for natural gas transportation service, the deadlines for submitting to the GTS the application for approval of tariffs for natural gas transportation service, the amended development plan, annual investment plans and the list of entry/exit points. Thus, it is stipulated that Vestmoldtransgaz shall submit to ANRE for approval: within 10 days from the date of the ANRE Decision, the list of entry/exit points of the operated transmission network; within 15 days from the date of the said Decision, the request for approval of tariffs for the natural gas transportation service; until November 1, the amended development plan for 2023-2031, the amended investment plan for 2023 and the investment plan for 2024. Also, in order to implement, starting from September 19, 2023, the balancing function of the Moldovan gas transmission system, Vestmoldtransgaz will submit to ANRE for approval: within 20 days from the date of entry into force of the abovementioned ANRE Decision, draft rules and conditions for the provision of services by storing gas in the pipeline; within 30 days from the date of entry into force of the Decision, a report on the implementation of the temporary balancing measures; within 30 days from the date of entry into force of the Decision, the Action Plan for the implementation of the Natural Gas Market Rules and the Natural Gas Network Code in the part related to balancing of natural gas networks. // 18.09.2023 - InfoMarket.
