Before March 23, 2024, foreign investors will be provided in Moldova with access to information and documents in English.
This is provided for by legislative amendments made as part of a package of amendments for the development of distance entrepreneurship, which were published in Monitorul Oficial. According to the document, the government is obliged to ensure the availability in English of the State Register of Public Services, as well as information, forms, instructions, applications and other documents necessary for the provision of public services for investment and entrepreneurial activities. All forms and documents in English will have the same legal effect as documents published in Romanian. Public service providers are prohibited from refusing to accept applications, requests and documents submitted by foreign investors in English, if they are submitted in compliance with the requirements for their form and content provided for by law, including with regard to the use of electronic signatures. The government will have to bring its regulations in line with the amendments to the legislation, ensure the availability in English of the State Register of Public Services, as well as information, forms, instructions, applications and other documents necessary for the provision of public services for investment and entrepreneurial activities, as part of public authorities, and within legal entities of private law.
