
In the first half of 2022, Moldova received over 55.06 million euros and $95.85 million (over 2.9 billion lei) of external loans to support the budget.
This is stated in the materials of the Ministry of Finance on received for 6 months of 2022 external loans/grants to support the state budget. As noted, in general, in January-June, Moldova received loans for 55 million 067 thousand 546.56 euros and $95 million 856 thousand 814.55, which is equivalent to 2 billion 901 million 020.2 thousand lei. At the same time, all these funds were loans; no grants were received for these purposes. According to the Ministry of Finance, in particular, Moldova received loans of 55 million 067 thousand 546.56 euros and $86 million 547 thousand 740.94 (the equivalent of 1 billion 087 million 237.1 thousand lei) under the new Program with the IMF. In addition, the country received about $615.64 thousand (11.09 million lei) in the form of a loan from the International Development Association within the Tax Administration Modernization Project (TAMP).
