Moldova increases gas reserves in Romanian gas storages.
The Commission for Emergency Situations ordered to increase by 3 million 590.5 cubic meters the volume of gas transported to Romania and stored in case of unforeseen circumstances. Thus, the total volume of natural gas stored in Romania will amount to 18 million 539.6 thousand cubic meters. These gas supplies are exempt from export and import duties. In addition, the commission approved a number of decisions regarding the purchase of electricity. Thus, Energocom will purchase the necessary electricity based on the results of the tender until April 22. The winner of the tender will be determined based on the lowest offered price for electricity, and if there is only one participant in the tender, the price will be set through direct negotiations. The volumes of electricity required by end consumers and system operators will be purchased from Energocom from May 1 to June 30. In the event of an increase in prices for electricity purchased on the wholesale market, which affects revenues determined within the framework of the current prices / tariffs by more than 5%, service providers will be able to submit requests to NAER within 2 days to adjust the regulated prices for the supply of electricity to the final consumers and electricity transmission tariffs. Within 5 days after that, NAER will be able to adjust the tariffs for electricity distribution and regulated prices for the supply of electricity to end consumers and publish them.// 14.04.2022 — InfoMarket
