Freelancers' income in April exceeded 26.9 million lei, and they were assessed a single tax of 4 million lei

The State Tax Service (STS) reported that in April 2026, independent entrepreneurs (freelancers) declared income of 26.9 million lei, and the assessed single tax amounted to 4.04 million lei, an increase of 15.26% compared to the previous month. The agency generated and sent 2,458 single tax payment notifications for April via the email addresses provided when registering as independent entrepreneurs.
