Moldova has introduced a new entrepreneurial patent form
The relevant order from the State Tax Service approving the standard application form for a business license and the business license form itself was published in the Official Journal of Moldova on May 1. The new patent form contains the information necessary to identify its holder—personal data, the selected type of activity, the period and location of the activity, the vehicle used for these purposes, and the State Tax Service unit that issued the patent. The patent form will also contain a QR code; scanning it will display all information related to the patent and its status. It is worth noting that the business patent has lost its status as a permit and a document subject to strict reporting requirements; therefore, the new patent form no longer contains the previously applied levels of protection. As of the end of 2025, according to the State Tax Service, there were over 11,700 active patents in Moldova, including 6,175 that were issued or renewed over the past year, resulting in over 2.8 million lei in revenue for the budget. // 05.05.2026 — InfoMarket
